A man is in jail after allegedly selling a shotgun, an assault rifle, a handgun, a pistol, a pipe, a machete and a hunting knife to an undercover FBI agent.
The agent also got marijuana, according to court documents.
Federal agents arrested 31-year-old Anthony W. Wills, of Fort Wayne, Indiana, on Aug. 1 and charged him with several counts of interstate transportation of firearms, including a rifle, assault rifle and assault-type weapon, according the U.S. Attorney’s Office in Indianapolis.
The agents allegedly used a GPS tracking device to track the truck to Wills’ home in Fort Wayne and arrested him at his residence, the office said.
The arrest was announced Wednesday by the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department, which said it is investigating the arrest.
A search warrant affidavit said Wills sold a shotgun and a rifle to the undercover agent, who paid $1,000 for the weapons and $750 for the marijuana.
He also sold a handgun to the agent.
The agents used GPS tracking to locate Wills vehicle and seized a number of firearms and marijuana, including at least one handgun, according court documents filed Wednesday.
