Oldest Musical Instrument Inventor of The Song of The Wild and Beautiful – An Instrument That Changed Music For Good, The Smithsonian’s American Musical Instrument Archive reports.
In 1878, a man named Joseph Tuckett invented the instrument known as a “Song of the West” that could be played by a woman.
The instrument became known as the “Song” because of its association with the song of the Westerns.
In 1883, the American Songbook gave the instrument a new name: the “Songs of the East.”
“The Song of West” was played by singers in the 1920s, when the popularity of the song began to soar.
“The song has always been popular, but it has always had its origins in the East,” said Dr. Richard G. Clements, director of the Songbook.
“This was something that was being sung by women, that was a form of expression that was very different from what the West had traditionally been doing.”
Dr. G. R. C. Lewis, a professor of musicology at Princeton University, said that the “songs of West, the West, are more of an expression of the American spirit than any other expression of that spirit.
This is a way of speaking to the world that’s not being heard anywhere else.”
The Song, a piece of music that originated in Europe, was written and performed by women and played by women.
In the 1950s, the Song became more popular among Americans.
In 1970, the song was performed by female singers on the song “I’ve Got You Babe,” according to Smithsonian’s article.
“When you look at the lyrics, the idea of a woman singing this music, it’s just an idea that has been there for a long time,” said Jennifer R. Epps, a senior editor at Smithsonian.
“It was a way for women to express their voices and be heard.”
As women became more vocal and active in the entertainment industry, the “sung” version of the “West” became more common.
Today, women are not only performing in the “East,” they are also singing it at a concert.
“I think the fact that women are able to express themselves in a way that is much more complex than men, it opens up more opportunities for them to make music that’s a little bit more diverse and more challenging to write for,” said Epps.
As the popularity and accessibility of the musical instruments has grown, women have continued to have their say in the music they make.
In 2014, Dr. G.-R.
C., Lewis, and Dr. C-K. E. Geddes, professor of musical and performance studies at the University of Southern California, published a study that documented how music of the 1950’s and 1960’s changed the world of the music business.
For the past two decades, music is increasingly being played by men and women.
The numbers are staggering.
“We have a problem that is very pervasive and very widespread, and it is a problem for men and for women,” Lewis said.
The study examined data from the National Center for Educational Statistics from the 1950-1979.
It found that between 1985 and 2015, the percentage of women in the workforce rose by over 12 percent.
Women also had more experience and better qualifications than their male counterparts.
“The most recent census data shows that women made up a higher percentage of college graduates and in the labor force than did men.
But women still earn more than men for the same job and have more control over their careers,” Dr. Lewis said, adding that the data also shows that in the past 50 years, women continue to have more power than men.
What’s next for the Song?
Dr. Roddick and Dr Clements hope that more men and more women will take up the instruments they make in the future.
“As we look at these instruments, we’re going to look at how these instruments are being used and the ways in which they’re being used, and we’re also going to see how we can improve the instruments that are being made,” Dr Roddack said.
